Floopy has a new home! This new SuperPets extra-large habitat is a big upgrade from her previous wire cage. This new cage will help her feet from developing sores and the shelf is a good lookout post for her. We can now fit her commercial grade tiles to cool her down. The small litterbox is there for easier cleaning. I did have to reinforce the shelf with some layered cardboard and it is more difficult for her to come out of the cage on her own. Overall this is a great home for a lazy bunny.

Floopy likes to flop over near the windows where it’s the coolest. I guess all that furry wool gets hot.

Floopy is almost 2 years old now. Have become accustomed to human attention. In her earlier years, she would just hop away from any type human touch. Even growl, claw, and bite.

Now she has loves being pet on the head. She would nudge your hand to get pet. That doesn’t mean she would like being picked or proded at.

She has also become litter trained and less prone to chew on wires after some training.

Bunny has become more social, while keeping her aggressive personality.

When Floopy and I were first introduced there were many awkward pauses and nervous events. Lets just say Floopy left me great amount of presents that weren’t expected.

Anyways… there were alot of discoveries made in understanding the rabbit psyché. Bunnnies have different stages of growth. I will go over these stages through out the next few posts. We received bunny after her toddler stages. This post is Floopy’s childhood adolencent  stage. Alot of confusion and getting to know the environment and sniffing and jumping and running away. These different stages exert different moods and behaviors. This also means new scars for me and endless cuteness from her.

In the beginning it seemed like endless poops all over the place. Over time she became potty trained to her cage. I didn’t know this was possible, but rabbits do follow their own scent. Life was great when she became trained but after letting her loose around the room her scent was everywhere and almost impossible to remove. I did discover Resolve Carpet cleaner for pets, but by that time it was too late. The damage has been done. This is including her non stop chewing of my molding, clothes, carpet, cage, and whatever that can reach her mouth. Her teeth need continual filiing. I have given her toys to chew on but I guess nothings better than a big hunk of wood. Hopefully none of my moldings are made of pine because of rabbits vulnerbilities to the wood. Once you get a handle on her behaviors it is easier to take control of Floopy.

Like any other pop star, Floopy likes to look the best with the trendiest styles. She gets the most attention by getting on stage for the show. The immense amount of hair seems to never seize.

Eyes Wide Shut

Bunny’s are lazier than what we thought. I do like the fact that floopy’s eyes turn into lines like mine. Her body transforms into a pancake like shape.

The first days of adopting Floopy into our lives. Fear and excitement of a whole new life with this poof of furr. Pooping mountains not even the Sherpas of Nepal can climb. Remodeling my bathroom by eroding my moldings. What future does this doe behold?
